Texas Tea Party Outline
A proven method of growing grassroots chapters is to have get togethers at prospects’ homes. Ask them to host a tea party where their responsibility will be to provide light snacks, coffee, and tea (wouldn’t be a tea party without tea).
This is a non-threatening and informal way to get to know like-minded people with a presentation and invitation to join, a challenge for those who join to host and schedule their own Tea Party, and schedule follow up parties to be held at least once a month. The follow up parties will include activities the members can participate in such as educational, challenges of members to run for office, campaign planning, ballot access petition drives, etc.
One or two members would give a presentation and a challenge. The presentation should include:
Opening Prayer
A brief welcome and introduction (3 or 4 minutes)
Play the 30 minute presentation (2006 Voter's Guide) either by DVD or by clicking on the link at the left of this page. Let this DVD do most of your talking for you. When you are finished, click on the back button of your browser to return to this page.
