It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an Irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.

“There is hardly a problem the Constitution Party has that cannot be fixed with Tea Parties”

Stephen King - Founder - Texas Tea Party

“Most of the people I talk with have never heard of the Constitution Party.” As the Tea Party grows and mushrooms in numbers, the Constitution Party will become not only a household name, but there will be quite a buzz in each community where there are Tea Parties.

“We don’t have enough good and qualified candidates to run for office.”  We will be picking up good candidates along the way as this is one of the challenges given at each Tea Party.

“Even if we get good candidates, we don’t stand a chance of getting them on the ballot with our unfair Ballot Access Laws.” Coupled with the natural growth of numbers from having Tea Parties are the education of attendees of Ballot Access laws. You probably don’t want to be standing within arm’s length when you tell a Texan he can’t vote in the Primaries if he wants to sign my petition. What is worse is telling a Texan she can’t vote! When you educate a Texan and tell them how we can overcome by growing the party and everyone volunteer to get signatures, just get out of their way – they’ll know what to do. The problem is how do we hold them back so we don’t get too many signatures? I would love to be able to be a part of a press conference where several of us deliver two or three hundred thousand signatures with the instructions to the Secretary of State, “Make sure you check each one; some may have voted twice (as the legislature has told us that voting in the primary and signing a petition is the same as voting twice).” I see Ballot Access as the central focus of the Tea Party.

“I just switched to the Constitution Party and I’m raring to go; what can I do?” Host a Texas Tea Party. Just invite your friends and family over to your house for tea. Our highly duplicative format makes it easy for anyone to host one. Allowing an excited person to grow stale because we didn’t have anything for them to do is worse than if they had never joined. They are now a part of a team that is making a difference.

“I’m a lifelong Republican who feels my party has abandoned me. But what choice do I have? Become a Democrat?” So far, our efforts to reach these “Political Refugees” have, to a large degree failed. The Tea Party solves this problem with the most proven method of advertising – word of mouth! This is how Samuel Adams did it. It is the least expensive and most effective form of growth. No longer will just a handful do all the work. We can each commit to getting our 10. Then new members, while they are new and excited, can commit to getting their 10. No longer can we sit around and wait for these refugees to come to us.

“It is just too much work for one person to put together a fund raiser so we can support our candidates, etc.” The flood of membership dues that will result from the growth of Tea Parties will do a lot towards raising funds the party needs. Once there have been several Tea Parties in a particular area, the Tea Party Area Coordinator can combine several Tea Parties together for joint events such as Rallies, Fund Raisers, Constitution Training Days, and Candidate training.

“I’m a Congressman who is fed up with my party supporting the unconstitutional side of issues. I know the Constitution Party is the closest to my core beliefs, but I don’t feel there are sufficient numbers nor will I have the financial support I need if I were to switch Parties now. The moral support, although needful, is just not enough to switch. ” By this time next year, I believe the Tea Party will have solved the hesitations of the Congressman or Legislator suffiently enough that he can afford to live by the dictates of his conscience by switching Parties. Right now, he just simply cannot afford to do that. I envision a flood of “Office Holder Refugees” by this time next year. It should be gratifying for everyone who gets involved to be a part of this process. Pat Buchanan implied on TV, after the first debates, that Ron Paul was the best choice for President. It would be nice to one day see him saying that the Constitution Party is the best choice for a party.

So what are we waiting for? Let’s grow the best Party for the survival of America.
